Ambassador Golf Tournament 2022

The Embassy of India organized the Ambassador Golf Tournament 2022 to mark the Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav, the 75th Anniversary of India’s independence which also coincides with the 75th anniversary of establishment of the bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia.

Over 65 players including Ambassadors of various countries, members of the diplomatic corps and professionals across various nationalities participated in the tournament, which was played over 18 holes at the picturesque Dirab Golf & Country Club, Riyadh. The tournament, which has been organized regularly by the Embassy in the past coinciding with the India’s Republic Day Celebrations, also highlights the rising popularity of the sport of golf in the Kingdom. The event also saw wide participation from ladies and children.

Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia H.E. Dr Ausaf Sayeed spoke on the occasion, highlighting the bilateral cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia in the fields of sports and culture, and also gave away the prizes to the winners. The tournament was followed by a luncheon reception.

Larsen & Tourbo, Expertise Contracting Company, Al AbdulKarim Holding and Inshat Al Awtan General Contracting Company, were the sponsors of the event.
