Under the General Scholarship Scheme, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi has allotted 2 scholarship slots for the Saudi nationals for the academic year 2019-20. The scholarships are granted for studies at Undergraduate & Post-graduate levels and in research subjects under M.Phil. and Ph.D. Saudi students are invited to apply for the said courses. The maximum age limit for Ph.D students is 45 for sending their applications.


Under the Scheme, Living Allowance, Contingent Grant, accommodation charges, Tuition Fee and other benefits, including medical and study tour to the students selected for scholarships are provided. However, the cost of air passage to India and back is not covered. Expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges for students pursuing science and agriculture courses will have to be borne by the students themselves.


Before applying for a particular study programme in a University, students should check with the concerned Qualification Assessment Department for equivalence of Degree awarded in India.


Since English language is the medium of instruction in the Indian universities, the students must be sufficiently proficient in English to properly pursue the academic lecture. Embassy of India, Riyadh will contact the short listed applicants to take English Proficiency Test at our chancery after scrutiny of their documents.
